Visa

If you require a UK VISA to attend the conference, Please fill in the application form after completing your registration with payment. The conference organizer can send you an invitation letter that you may use for your VISA purposes. The letter will be emailed to you. Should you require a hard copy through post, please be aware that it may take up to two weeks to reach you and £15.00 is charged to cover the cost. You can find more information in here.

Getting to Newcastle upon Tyne

Newcastle has excellent road, rail, sea and air links.

By rail: As a major stop on the efficient East Coast Mainline, Newcastle is just 2 hours 45 minutes from central London and 1 hour 30 minutes from Edinburgh and Leeds.

By air: Newcastle International Airport is one of the UK's fastest growing regional airports, having recently benefited from a £7m extension programme. Airlines include Emirates, British Airways, KLM, Air France, easyJet and Jet2. The airport is just 23 minutes from the city centre by Metro or taxi. Key cities served directly from Newcastle International Airport include: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Dubai, Dublin, London and Paris. There are many direct flights on offer, with the airport connecting directly to over 70 destinations across the world.

By road: The A1(M) passes through Newcastle linking the area to London, the South, Scotland and major routes across the country. The A69 links west to Carlisle, the Lake District and, via the M6, to the South and West of England.

Getting around: Compact and accessible, it is easy to get around Newcastle. Most accommodation is within walking distance or fast track on the efficient Metro light rail system. The impressive QuayLink system links Newcastle's vibrant quaysides to major transport hubs with a series of state-of-the-art, low-emission hybrid buses.
